How to Shoot Content We Can Use

● CURRENT PRIORITY: RAW VIDEO

We need raw video of Denali rods being used. You don't need to catch a giant fish, explain what you're doing, or create a finished video. The Denali product is the subject. Simple footage of you fishing with the rod clearly visible is exactly what we need.

1

Show the Rod in Action

Our #1 Priority — Raw Video
  • Casting
  • Landing a fish
  • Hooksets
  • Simply fishing with the rod
  • Fighting a fish
  • Picking up / changing rods
  • Working a bait
  • Rigging or tying on a bait
  • Flipping & pitching
  • Different techniques
  • Rod loading under pressure
  • Any real fishing activity
Helpful Tip: Don't wait until you catch a fish to start recording. Regular fishing footage is extremely useful. Set up your phone and give us 10–30 seconds of you actually fishing.
2

Make the Product the Hero

Product & Feature Content
  • Rod clearly visible
  • Denali logo / branding
  • Handle & reel seat close-ups
  • Guides & components
  • Rod bend / action
  • Bait presentation
  • Titanium Tip in use
  • FFS fishing
  • Talk about a favorite feature
  • Explain why you chose that model
Helpful Tip: Talking is optional. Sometimes clean footage of the rod being used is better than talking to the camera. Show us what the product does.
3

What We Can Actually Use

Think Like an Advertisement
✓ Yes — Send This
  • Casting with a Denali rod
  • Hooksets
  • Rod loaded while fighting fish
  • Vertical video (9:16)
  • Rod & angler clearly visible
  • Close-up product footage
  • Different camera angles
  • Raw, unedited clips
  • Natural fishing activity
× Not Very Useful
  • Holding a fish for the camera
  • Fish-only photos
  • Scenery with no Denali product
  • Rod too far away to identify
  • Other rod brands visible
  • Long talking videos
  • Heavily edited clips
  • Rod mostly out of frame
Helpful Tip: The fish doesn't have to be the star. A 15-second video of a good cast, hookset, or someone simply working a bait with a Denali rod can be more valuable than a photo of a 7-pound bass.
Before You Hit Record
Ask yourself: "Can someone watching this clearly see a Denali product being used?"
If yes, shoot it.
Pro Tip: Set It & Fish
Prop your phone up vertically, hit record, and fish normally for a few minutes. Don't perform for the camera. We'll pull the best 5–15 seconds from the footage.
Shoot More Than One Clip.
Give us the pieces: a cast, working the bait, a hookset, fighting the fish, landing it, and a close-up of the rod. We'll turn the pieces into the ad.
Remember: you're not trying to create the ad. You're giving us the raw footage we need to create it.
